Every production stage has a point where judgement protects the approved standard.
Tech packs, measurements and approved references create control, but they do not remove the need for judgement. From knitting and linking to mending, washing, finishing, measurement control and packing, people determine whether the garment should move forward or be corrected.
A knitter senses tension. A linker sees where a neckline must settle cleanly. A mender notices what should not travel forward. A finisher understands how cashmere changes after wash.
These decisions are small, but they are not minor. They are the difference between knitwear that is merely produced and knitwear that feels considered.
