At Kanchan Cashmere, excellence is not treated as a final inspection point. It begins much earlier — in the choice of fibre, the respect given to yarn, the discipline of proportion, and the quiet patience required to turn cashmere into knitwear with lasting value.
Our work is guided by restraint. We believe the finest cashmere pieces should not depend on excessive decoration or seasonal noise. They should carry softness, structure, balance, and a sense of calm confidence. This is the essence of quiet luxury: not less care, but more considered care.
From Kathmandu, our atelier brings together Nepalese craftsmanship, technical knitwear knowledge, and premium yarn partnerships to develop garments for brands that value material integrity, long-term wearability, and responsible production. Every decision is measured: the yarn count, the gauge, the silhouette, the finish, the handfeel, the inspection standard, and the way a garment will live in the wearer’s wardrobe.

This is why our development process begins with fibre. We work with pure cashmere and considered luxury blends from specialist spinning partners, selecting yarn not only for immediate softness but for performance across sampling, production, finishing, and repeated wear.
For buyers, this means material choices are made with clarity. A lightweight fine-gauge sweater, a sculptural cable, a brushed cashmere layer, a recycled cashmere program, or a cashmere-silk piece each requires a different technical decision. Luxury knitwear is felt first, but it is understood through detail. The clean join at a shoulder, the balance of a rib, the recovery of a cuff, the quiet fall of a sleeve, and the way a garment returns to shape after finishing all reveal the discipline behind the piece.
Inside our Kathmandu atelier, traditional hand skills and technical production knowledge work together. Knitting defines structure. Linking gives the garment integrity. Washing and blocking bring the yarn to life. Final finishing gives the piece its calm, refined presence.
