Kanchan Cashmere began in Kathmandu in 2008 as a small atelier with a clear belief: that Nepalese craftsmanship could stand beside the world’s finest knitwear traditions. In the early years, the work was quiet and deliberate — learning the behavior of each yarn, refining the hand of every stitch, and building a production culture where patience mattered as much as skill.
Our home at the foothills of the Himalaya shaped our sensibility. The landscape taught restraint. The culture taught respect for handwork. The material taught humility. Cashmere is never forced; it is guided — through gauge, tension, wash, finish, and time.
Today, Kanchan Cashmere develops and manufactures refined knitwear for boutique brands, independent designers, and premium buyers across Europe, North America, and global luxury markets. Yet the spirit of the atelier remains unchanged: fewer compromises, deeper attention, and garments made to endure beyond a season.
